I've tried it many times to survive a fall without the badge none of the times I could make it to the ground near the war zone with full health. If reto decides that spwan killing is bad then why did the left para faction out of it? Now coming to the point, para-planes and paratroopers are a easy target for everybody be it planes, infantry, tank, recon. If someone has more than 1 para characters then for all para characters he/she can use only 1 badge if membership is not active.įirstly, Hi to all and thanks for expressing your views. Please remove the FreeFall Badge from Paratroopers instead all/any para above level 3 should be able to open their parachute at their discretion.Ī para can then use other badges properly as in current scenario for a para to use any badge he/she must activate veteran membership. Para's already are handicapped by the portage points they have. There is no point in playing para, if you can't make it to the ground. While it is unrealistic, it is also unrealistic having 1-4 paras jumping in a parajump, thus the 10 or so enemy that see them dropping concentrate fire on just a few rather than the thousands that were dropping IRL. I'd have to do some research to see how many feet it takes for a deployed chute to get to terminal velocity, but opening a chute in less then that distance above the ground should be a death.īut, I do agree with the OP. The late opening chute mechanic should change. And yes, it is unrealistic as paradrops in WW2 used static lines. And give that to every paratrooper and whatever else badge they choose? No thank you. So having the badge itself is already unrealistic, and considering you can open the chute like 20ft from the ground and survive is unreal as well. It was connected to a rail on the inside of the plane and once you were so many feet outside of the plane after jumping out the chute was pulled.
